Is Matrix a hosted product I can sign up for?
No. Matrix is ZB Automations' own private tool — there is no signup, trial, or SaaS offering. It is the engine that lets me design, build and ship client work fast; clients never touch it.
Which AI providers does Matrix support?
20+ providers out of the box, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Mistral, xAI Grok, DeepSeek, Groq, OpenRouter, and local models via Ollama or LM Studio. The operator brings the API keys; Matrix stores them encrypted (AES-256-GCM) locally.
Where does the data actually live?
In a local SQLite database on the operator's own machine, published through Cloudflare. Nothing client-related is collected or stored in it.
What's the difference between Matrix and Matrix Builder?
Matrix is the dashboard — chat, agents, IDE, notes, email, calendar, memory. Matrix Builder is a feature inside Matrix: an AI site/dashboard generator that produces agency-grade builds from a single prompt, editable live without leaving the dashboard.
What does it cost to run?
Effectively €0/month. The public site runs on Cloudflare Pages, and the dashboard and builder are reached through a free Cloudflare Tunnel from the operator's own machine — no VPS, no VM.
Is the source code available?
No — the dashboard and builder are private tools. Your own site, however, is fully yours: domain, hosting and code.
